cisness makes us so sick. its grief and dysphoria violently scattered across timelines of death as self-preservation.

this is Pranshu, who died by suicide on november 21st at the age of 16. i don’t believe in assigning one reason for death by suicide, as that often feels far too reductionist. but it certainly didn’t help that Pranshu was relentlessly flooded with hate following a reel that documented their grace and joy. the insecurity of cisness insists of being the queer cost of embracing oneself.

i want us to live. but i never know where to put this violence that stalks our commitment to become, or the grief that buries us in being alive.
