CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
I grew up seeing my mom and all my aunts as a teacher, they were all teachers in reputed schools like Loreto Convent, and Don Bosco School Kolkata. Growing up in an environment where all were teachers motivated me to take teaching as a profession. You are right, motivation is very important in school and even at home.
Of course, twenty years back teaching methods and ways were different, and now children need to be welcomed in the classroom, they need to be felt understood. So my dear readers today I am going to write about classroom management.
1. Establish clear expectations and routines. Develop a set of clear and concise classrooms with a set of rules and expectations for your students at the beginning of the term. Use materials to get students' attention, especially in primary classes, and create a structured and predictable environment.
2. Use positive reinforcement. Encourage positive behavior by using a variety of techniques such as praise, recognition, and sending positive notes home. This helps to establish a positive classroom culture where success is celebrated and our students feel valued and recognized for their efforts.
3. Be consistent in your approach. Consistency is key when it comes to classroom management. Teach and model the same expectation every day, and enforce them fairly.
4. Build a positive relationship with your student.
Get to know your students individually, I know this can be difficult sometimes but this can help you to build good connections with your students and if you have a good connection with your child or students they will always pay attention to what you have to say. Be approachable and friendly.
5. Use effective communication :
Communicate clearly and openly with students, parents, and colleagues. Provide feedback that is specific and actionable and focuses on growth and improvement.
I am sure by following these strategies you can create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning, engagement, and success.
