Today Britain will have its new Prime Minister as Rishi Sunak, the first Indian Origin Prime Minister of Britain.
Since Sunak was elected by Conservative MPs as their new leader and hence prime minister of the United Kingdom the social media has been flouting around with pro Indian and pro Hindu posts.
A twitter user wrote, "Who would have thought when India celebrates 75 years of Independence from the British, the British will get a Prime Minister of Indian origin, a first ever Hindu PM."
While some are saying now a Hindu, an Indian Origin will Colonize the Colonizers.
Sunak took oath as MP from Yorkshire, on the Bhagavad Gita in the Parliament. He was the first UK parliamentarian to do so, making the Hindus proud of his act.
He's the son-in-law of Narayana Murthy, Infosys Chief and married to his daughter Akshata Murty.
Sunak is often seen speaking of his heritage and how his family reminded him about values and culture.
Amidst the economic challenges and political turmoil faced in Britain, Sunak seems like a hope.
He's the third Prime Minister of United Kingdom or Britain this year.
