Communication is a part of our daily lives, we communicate informally with our friends and family, while formally communicating with our teachers and employers. One may not know its precise definition but it is quite common to know that it means to express your feelings through words or writing.
Learning about communication is not as easy as it seems but we can make cross that hurdle through our dedication to learn.
Why would I say it isn't easy? Well because it includes numerous topics like types and modes of communication, process of communication, barriers to communication, flow of communication, monologue, dialogue, so on and so forth.
Being humans, we wouldn't like to waste our time learning something which may not be beneficial. So here are some merits which make you stand you if you have good communication skills—

Here are some tips to improve your communication skills—
1.You must know the objective of communication; being precise and to the point is appreciated in corporate world.
2.Practice speaking English as to eliminate non fluencies such as 'umm' Or 'errr'. They indicate either you aren't good at that particular language or aren't sure of what to speak.
3.Focus on 'Kinesics'( study of body's physical movements). It involves paying attention to your posture, gesture and personal appearance.
4.Managing your time conveys more about your personality than you may think. In corporate world, try to reach on time, your early arrival may show that you are too eager. If you reach late it may be considered as slacking off.
5.While public speaking try looking straight at your audience. Eyes at non living things like wall or ceiling may depict low confidence and self-esteem.
