Today, the Delhi BJP urged that the CBI look into charges made by imprisoned Sukesh Chandrashekhar that he had bribed off the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Adesh Gupta, the president of the Delhi BJP, spoke at a press conference here and called for the relocation of incarcerated AAP minister Satyendar Jain from the capital to a prison in either Uttar Pradesh or Haryana.
Parvesh Verma, a BJP member of parliament, has urged that Jain be transferred to a prison in any state other than Punjab, which is governed by the AAP.
Gupta demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) look into Chandrashekhar's claims "He has stated that he gave Jain, the Kejriwal government's former minister of jails, 10 crore for protection when he was imprisoned. Additionally, the con artist claimed to have paid 50 crore for a Rajya Sabha seat. A CBI investigation into these claims is warranted." A party delegation will shortly meet with Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, according to the BJP leader.
Chandrashekhar, who is now detained in Mandoli jail, has written three letters in which he makes many accusations against the AAP leaders.
