Chairman of Goa Rehabilitation Board and Cumbarjua legislator Rajesh Faldessai on Sunday led a two-wheeler rally in Cumbarjua Constituency to celebrate the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Hundreds of motorcyclists participated in the rally in view of the forthcoming 78th Independence Day celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a nationwide call to action, urging citizens to participate in the campaign. To make it a memorable mass movement across the country, the Prime Minister has encouraged Indians to hoist the National Flag at their residences.
Launched in 2021, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign aims to instill a sense of patriotism and raise awareness about the National Flag.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has launched the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from August 11 to 14. During this period, the party will conduct Tiranga Yatras and encourage the hoisting of the Tricolour homes, shops, and offices.
“Our Prime Minister has been celebrating Har Ghar Tiranga for the past four years. We have been celebrating it in a big way with happiness in every house. Hence, we have organised this bike rally. We gave a clarion call, and at once all our karyakartas and supporters as well as panch members participated in the rally, which is very encouraging,” Faldessai said.
He also said that the bike rally witnessed an overwhelming participation from the youth.
“Our youth are happy that they have participated in large numbers and they have liked the programme. We are organising this programme as per the PM’s initiative under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. We got a good response and it was organised well. We urge all my constituents to join me in celebrating this momentous occasion and spread awareness about our National Flag,” he added.
