Chairman of Goa Rehabilitation Board and Cumbharjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai said that he will work towards providing necessary assistance towards education in the constituency.
He was speaking at the felicitation ceremony of students of Standard 10 at PM Shri SSV Govt High School, Cumbharjua for securing 100% result at the SCC Examination of
2023-24.
Faldessai congratulated the management of the 110-year-old school for running the institution for such a long period, terming it as an achievement.
"The chief minister always focusses on education, and in our constituency he never allows any deficiency to be there as far this is concerned. Wherever there is any need, I will always give my help. If any school needs something or even any child needs help, fulfilling this need is my responsibility. Be it an invertor, fans for the school, etc, or be it any admission-related issue, bring it to my notice, I will render all assistance," he said.
He also said that many projects have been completed in the constituency and many more will be taken up.
"Parents make a lot of sacrifices. Children must respect their parents. Be it pick up and drop, waking up at 5 in the morning etc, is not easy. I have fulfilled the demand to build a road at Gaundalim. Also, a retaining road will be built and a walking track. Once the road is ready, the width will increase to 7 metres. The CM has assured to help us with the construction of the retaining wall. It will be completed by next year.
The CM has cleared the file for the overbridge at Dauji railway track. The file for the project costing Rs 45 crores has been passed. However, the cost has risen a little so it has to be re-tendered. We will lay the foundation stone soon. Landowners have been compensated. It will span 12 metres in width and 350 metres each on each side," he said.
