The Dalai Lama, appearing in robust health, is set to resume teachings with a daylong session on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo’s 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva at Paljor Stadium, Sikkim, on Dec 12, following a postponement due to flu-related rest advised earlier. Subsequently, on Dec 14, he will offer a general teaching and conduct the Ceremony for Generation of Bodhicitta at Sed-Gyued Monastery, Salugara, West Bengal.
Previously canceled Karnataka state teachings are not on the schedule, but the Dalai Lama is anticipated to participate in a high-profile international Buddhist conference in Mumbai on Dec 15-16, according to reports. Remaining committed to his Bodh Gaya events, he will provide teachings on Nagarjuna’s In Praise of Dhammadhatu and confer the Manjushri Empowerment on Dec 29-31, with a Long Life Prayer ceremony on Jan 1, 2024, all at Kalachakra Teaching Ground.
