Over four episodes, director Patrick Graham attempts to dig up fresh dirt on the murder of 47-year-old Shakereh Khaleeli three decades ago. ✅✅

Her second husband Shradhananda, was convicted of burying her alive in the grounds of the vast property she owned in Bengaluru’s Richmond Town💯💯

Firstly married to Indian diplomat Akbar Khaleeli, the Indian envoy to Iran and Australia. They divorced in 1985 due to differences ✅

Renowned for her beauty and poise, Shakereh Khaleeli surprised many and upset her clan by marrying the unprepossessing Shradhananda✅

After his marriage to Shakereh, he slowly transferred all her properties to his name via power of attorney. The couple would often quarrel over this as her relatives recounted on the documentary. 💯

Eventually he drugged her and buried her alive in their backyard in a wooden box he had specially made for the crime. ✅

As per forensic investigation, Shakereh regained consciousness after being buried and struggled to get out of her coffin for hours. 💔💔💯

Shraddhanand then covered the backyard up with cement and used to even organise parties on top of his wife’s grave.💔

In May 1994, the police of Karnataka uncovered the skeletal remains of Shakereh's body buried deep in the courtyard of her own house💔💔

Shradanand himself led the police to the spot where he had buried Shakereh, and her remains were exhumed.💯

The judgement sentenced him to life imprisonment. 🙏
