Darbhanga ghat , located on the banks of holy river Ganga has immense significance. Earlier, it was known as Munshi ghat and later named after Darbhanga ghat. Dating back, Munshi ghat was built in the year 1812, Munshi Ghat is named after Sridhara Narayana Munshi, who was a finance minister in the estate of Nagpur. In 1915, the Brahmin king Kameshwar Singh Gautam Bahadur of Darbhanga (Bihar) purchased the ghat and extended it. The extension later became known as Darbhanga Ghat.
The palatial working of Darbhanga Ghat is made of sandstone of Chunar( Mirzapur district of Eastern UP) with an excellent yards and Greek columns. The solid strides for the rooftop were worked in 1930. Obviously, this zone has been significance in the puranic setting, yet for its glory and structural style this royal residence is critical.
In 1994 the Darbhanga royal residence was obtained by the Clarks Hotel Group, which, named it as Brajrama Palace, and intended to change it into five star inn. They have officially decimated practically 50% of the structure from the back. Its back border is being expanded and its tallness brought up in request to make reasonable for the utilization of the arranged lodging. Obviously it would be an exquisite setting for the inn so as to draw in a high class rich vacationers from the west.
Darbhanga ghat, Varanasi is an ideal goal for an extraordinary time with your dear ones.
