Delhi Capitals sealed a crucial 19-run win against Lucknow Super Giants in a crucial do-or-die IPL 2024 clash, on Tuesday.

They gave all-round performance to stay alive in the playoffs race with the slightest of chances. 🔵👏

The win keeps DC in contention for playoffs and LSG also have an extra game in hand. Chasing 209, LSG crumbled at 189/9 in 20 overs, with Ishant Sharma taking three wickets for LSG.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran top-scored for LSG, smacking 61 off 27 balls. Arshad Khan also got an unbeaten fifty, smacking 58* off 33 balls. Initially, Delhi Capitals posted 208/4 in 20 overs. Despite a duck from Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abishek Porel (58) and Tristan Stubbs (57*) got half-centuries as DC set a target of 209 runs. Meanwhile, Naveen-ul-Haq struck twice for LSG.

LSG, with one more game left against Mumbai Indians, aren't knocked out either just yet, but both teams will have to depend on other results going massively their way to make the top four.

Speaking after the game, Player of the Match Ishant said, "The last few games I was trying to bowl a knuckle ball. Even in the last game I got Virat out and today KL. I don't think much. I take it as it comes everyday. If my body is alright, I should thank Patrick [Farhart]. I had some injuries. After the defeats, we were positive and there was belief as well. If you win close games, it gives you confidence to take the momentum forward."
