Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita and AAP candidate Kuldeep Kumar held a a roadshow in East Delhi on Monday.
Rephrasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Achhe din aane wale hain" pitch by adding his own spin - "Modiji jaane wale hain" - to it, Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal declared that the BJP was set to lose power on June 4, when results for the Lok Sabha elections will be announced.
Taking to the streets of East Delhi for back-to-back street-corner meetings in support of AAP candidate Kuldeep Kumar, Kejriwal said an INDIA bloc government was set to be formed at the Centre following which the Capital would get full statehood.
"Achhe din aane wale hain, Modiji jaane wale hain... (Good days are on their way, Modi is on his way out)...There is tremendous anger among the people against the BJP. I can give it to you in writing today, that Modi ji's government will not return to power on June 4," the CM declared in Jangpura, which was among the six locations where he campaigned on Monday.
"The INDIA coalition government is coming to power of which AAP will be a part and we will give full statehood status to Delhi. Till now, the Delhi Police did not listen to you; but after June 4, it will," he said as reported by IndianExpress.
Taking on PM Modi directly, Kejriwal accused him of seeking to stop the AAP Delhi government's welfare schemes and putting him in jail for implementing them. "You put me in jail for working for the people. I want to tell Narendra Modi that as long as I am there, no one can stop facilities for the public," he said.
Accompanied by his wife Sunita, who was leading from the front when her husband was in judicial custody after being arrested in the excise policy case by the Enforcement Directorate, the AAP convener termed her 'Jhansi ki Rani'.
