Narendra Modi will again be sweared as Prime Minister for third term in the National Capital.
The Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has declared Delhi a No-Fly Zone for the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 9 and 10.
The restrictions, imposed under Section 144 of the Criminial Procedure Code, prohibit the use of any-sub-conventional aerial platforms, such as paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized powered aircraft, and quadcopters, over the national capital.
Violators of these orders will face punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
In his statement, Arora cited concerns about "certain criminal, anti-social elements or terrorists inimical to India" who may pose a threat to the safety of the general public, dignitaries and vital installations during the swearing-in ceremony.
President Droupadi Murmu invited Modi to form the government, as the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) emerged victorious with 293 seats, comfortably surpassing the 272-seat threshold for a majority.
Addressing the media after receiving the President's invitation, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the people's mandate and pledged to continue the country's rapid progress. He also mentioned India's rising stature on the global stage, asserting that the nation is poised to reap significant benefits in the coming years, despite the challenges faced by the world.
