One year since its ambitious film policy was launched, the Delhi government has received 59 applications from production houses to shoot in the city.

The Delhi governments e-Film clearance portal provides a single window facility that help filmmakers get permission to shot from 20-odd agencies including local police, traffic police, civic agencies, Public Works Department (PWD), Delhi Metro, Delhi International Airport Limited, National Highway Authority of India and forest department among others. Officials said the online permission is accorded within 15 days.

The officials with the new film policy want Delhi yo become the hottest destination for shooting.

Although the New film Policy offers a lot of incentives to filmmakers but shooting in the national capital can be an expensive affair and only big banners can afford to shot here, as every agency charges a fee and some on hourly basis, to shoot at particular locations.

There is no role of tourism department of deciding the free, they're just facilitator, as per TimesofIndia report as said by the official.

But we hope, our Delhi is seen more in the films because there is something beautiful and rustic about Delhi and its beautiful places.
