September has started and Delhi is under full preparation for the G20 summit in the National Capital.
The Government is working on multiple projects to improve the areas and surroundings of Delhi.
As part of the city's preparations for the upcoming G-20 Summit, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has placed enormous posters of langurs-which are said to scare off monkeys-in various locations throughout the capital.
The erection of giant posters depicting langurs at several G-20 locations as well as on Delhi's highways has been an intriguing feature of the preparations. Installing the cut-outs is intended to frighten away monkeys that might wind up hanging out in the be visited by international dignitaries.
Langurs have historically been utilized in Delhi and other places for similar purposes and are said to chase off monkeys.
Life-size cut-outs of langurs will be seen on Delhi's Sardar Patel Marg as well as in the Central Ridge area that's located near Connaught Place. Moreover, 40 people who have been trained to imitate langur sounds will be deployed in addition to the cutouts to scare away monkeys.
All of this has done to ensure that monkeys stay inside the forest region and do not obstruct the convoy of dignitaries.
Langur cut-outs have been put up on an experimental basis in Delhi.
