Delhi recorded one of the best air days on Sunday reading of 56 (satisfactory), the cleanest air recorded in over 300 days— data from the Central Pollution Control Board showed.
The good air in National Capital showed blue skies.
Even today the AQI remained satisfactory at 10am with an average air quality index (AQI) of 56.
Although some isolated locations received a drizzle till 8.30am on Sunday, no rain was recorded between 8.30am and 5.30pm, data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) showed. The weather agency has removed its colour-coded alerts for the next six days as no significant rain activity is expected.
The last time, Delhi witnessed lowest AQI this year was 61 (satisfactory) was on July 4 and Sunday’s was the lowest AQI since September 11, 2023, when it was 53.
The further predictions by the Centre’s Early Warning System said Delhi’s air was unlikely to touch the “good” category in the coming days.
