The weekend also started with light rain in parts of Delhi on Saturday, a day after the national capital received the highest rainfall in a single day in June in 88 years, bringing the city to a grinding halt.
With the monsoon arriving in the capital, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall over the next five days, with parts of Delhi likely to witness heavy showers till July 1.
Several parts of the city continue to be waterlogged and many areas experienced prolonged power cuts as Delhi recorded 228.1 mm of rainfall in 24 hours on Friday.
For Saturday, IMD has forecast thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain over parts of Delhi-NCR, including Dwarka, Palam, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Manesar.
