Devotees on way to holy Amarnath yatra would taste famous items of Varanasi at Chandanbari halt in Jammu region.
A group of 60 sevadars will leave for Jammu on 26 June to serve the Amarnath pilgrims. This time, devotees will also be served Banarasi paan, kachori, jalebi and thandai along with Banarasi malaiyo.
Malaiyo will be prepared and distributed to the devotees in the huge bhandaara to be held in Chandanbari (Jammu Kashmir) from 29 June. In this bhandaara, which will run for 45 days, 300 devotees will be served Banarasi cuisine every day. There will also be arrangements for food and accommodation here.Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti President Dilip Singh Bunty, General Secretary Vivek Srivastava told reporters at the office in Chowk on Sunday that this time the 24th huge bhandaara will be held in Chandanbari. The sevadars of the group that has already reached there are busy preparing for the camp.
A group of sevadars will leave from Kaudiya Hospital in Laxmi Nagar at 9 am on 26 June. After reaching Cantt Railway Station through bike rally, the sevadars will go to Jammu by Begumpura Express. He told that for the first time two machines are also being taken for making Malaiyo. Its cooks are also going from here. There will be free breakfast and food arrangements for the passengers in the camp.
