I totally agree with your observation, doctor. You are spot on
Very informative .
Rice can not be the culprit as it is as old as 'Lord Krishna' who loves the 'Rice flakes' gifted by his friends like Kushel and who lived atleast 10,000 years ago as mentioned in Gita a 10,000 years old epic.Probably rice was the predominantly used cereal from time immemorial across the Indian subcontinent.Even today rural population is largely thriving on rice as staple food without any diabetes, it is only well educated urban young population is seriously affected which needs the honourable Prime Minister to intervene to make every step to prevent metabolic disorders like Diabetes in 22nd century kids.
Gut is a factory which needs only raw materials where glucose like single sugars are biosynthesized.Glucose/sucrose must be made in body cells and if eaten as raw materials it tampers normal carbohydrate metabolism right from digestion to absorption to assimilation which in turn affects lipid metabolism as well as protein metabolism in cells. In true sense all sugar fortified foods are all making poisons in body. It is a common sense and inherited traditional sclence.Govt must stop sucrose/fructose fortified foods including biscuits/cookies which are largely consumed by infants, children and adolescents who determines the fate of diabetes culture in India.Every proprietary foods fortified with sucrose/glucose including infant foods must be prohibited. Act must be enacted to prohibit industry using simple sugars as seasoning agent or emulsifying agent or preservatives.
Govt mandate must be to stop spoiling genome in kids by prohibiting adulteration or fortifying in the name of industry process of using simple sugars in medicines, nutraceuticals, functional foods/processed packed foods/kids staple foods etc. Every product must be evaluated for causing imbalance in gut microbiota, data must be submitted by every food manufacturer for zero sucrose/fructose in packed foods. Every manufacturer must study the gut microbiota profile for every food product and submit study reports to FDA/FSSAI for approval. This must be enacted as a regulatory data requirement for registering any food products in India. Let us all work together and fight against rapidly raising diabetes like metabolic disorders in India which in true sense weakens the younger population which is the back bone of the country.
