Although Shah Rukh might be a big star but he cannot disrespect and pass racial comments on another star.
So what really happened was on Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, the three Khans - SRK, Salman and Aamir - were performing on Naatu Naatu, the song that originally featured Ram Charan along with NT Rama Rao Jr.
During the performance, the Bollywood actor looked for Ram Charan to join them on stage. “Where are you, Ram Charan?" he kept asking. He seemingly wanted the RRR star to join the three Khans in the performance.
During this time, in apparent jest, SRK started speaking gibberish Telugu, which included the word “idli".
There are clips of Shah Rukh Khan and Ram Charan on the internet which irked netizens, as they felt the former used culturally derogatory terms to mock the latter.
Taking to the comment section of the post, netizens began criticising SRK for his choice of words, and found it improper to mock someone by means of culture shaming. While one internet user commented. “Useless stereotypes of us South Indians eating everything with curd. And the way they depicted that scene was distasteful/gross to say the least”, yet another netizen penned, “If it’s some teenager I can understand but a person of SRK calibre didn't understand calling sardar lassi or south India idli sambar is neither witty or nor funny but it's very disrespectful”.
