Did you know that the clitoris and penis share a hometown? That's right!
In the beginning, all fetuses have what's called a genital ridge. For both male and female fetuses, the ridge is indistinguishable. Both develop from the same embryonic tissue and have similar nerve endings. Then around the 9th week after conception, this embryonic tissue begins to develop into either the head of a penis or a clitoris and labia majora.
It's time to celebrate the incredible similarities and differences between male and female anatomy. Let's break the taboo and talk about sexual pleasure and health for everyone!
