Indian Medical Association, the leading medical organisation in the nation, today urged the general population to start acting in a Covid-appropriate manner. To combat "the approaching Covid outbreak," it was advised to wear face masks in public places, keep social distance, and regularly wash your hands with soap and water or sanitizer. Soon after, union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated in the parliament that the government is monitoring the country's increasing number of Covid cases and provided a list of steps being taken to stop the virus's spread. He claimed that genome sequencing has been mandated for all states, and that random sampling of international flyers has also begun as of today.
