I love watching documentaries because they are short and very informative. It also gives me a chance to Google further and look into the lives of the characters or even more into the subjects covered. There are various documentaries out there but today, I shall write about three of my favourite nature inspired documentaries that you can stream on Netflix.
1 - Going to bring up ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ mainly because everyone has heard of it this year thanks to the Oscar win. It also was such a beautiful story in terms of the relationship between the caretakers and the elephants. For a second, it almost feels like they are covering the lives of children over elephants. People who haven't watched this should as it makes you realize you shouldn't judge elephants only by their size. They have emotions too.
2 - Another all time favourite is ‘My Octopus Teacher’. This documentary is so pleasing to watch because it has been documented and shot so beautifully. It feels like an adventure underwater through the eyes of a man and his teacher who is an octopus. This documentary as well showcases the relationship between an animal and human.
3 - Lastly, ‘Fantastic Fungi’ is a very informative documentary on mushrooms and what a fascinating part they play in nature. There is so much they do in terms of helping nature regenerate and we take them for granted since they are technically 'fungi'.
