Amid the widrawl of candidature from the race to Presidential Elections of Joe Biden, opposition leader Donald Trump on social media platform Truth Social, Trump asserted, "Joe Biden was never qualified to run for President and is utterly unfit to serve."
Former President Donald Trump unleashed a harsh rebuke in response to Joe Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, forgoing any hint of graciousness.
Biden's announcement came amidst mounting pressures from within his party following a dismal performance in a presidential debate against Trump.
This decision to step aside allows Vice President Kamala Harris to become the Democratic Party's nominee for the November general elections.
Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in self-isolation, cited his health and the best interests of the country as reasons for his withdrawal.
Trump further added, "All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn't capable of being President, and he wasn't."
Trump continued his tirade, criticising Biden's presidency and its impact on the country.
"And now, look what he's done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Trump remains a dominant figure in the Republican Party, despite facing numerous legal challenges and controversies.
Recently, Trump survived an assassination attempt during a public event, which only intensified his resolve and the fervor of his supporters.
As the election draws nearer, the rhetoric from both sides is expected to intensify, shaping a highly charged and pivotal campaign season.
