Hi

Hi
Hello everyone
Nice
It’s December in 2019 and someone tells you that in a parallel universe Mikel Arteta will still be managing Arsenal three years down the line and his team will be 8 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, 23 points clear of Sp*rs and 34 ahead of Chelsea.
60,000 Arsenal fans will be chanting Granit Xhaka’s name as he gets his 10th goal contribution of the season whilst Rob Holding fills in for Saliba - now with a full head of hair. We’ve got Super Mik’ rings round the stadium, the Emirates is no longer the library many would mock it for, it’s a fortress with a group of ultras banging a drum and getting the whole of the clock end jumping up and down to “allez, allez, allez”.
After conceding, instead of hearing the celebrations of the away fans, the noise is drowned out by screams of “Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal” as the fans rally behind the players to pick them back up and drive them forwards. You get goosebumps thinking about it, but then you laugh, that wouldn’t happen even in your wildest dreams.
You sit down on the sofa and go back to scroll through Twitter. In one tweet you read a quote by Arteta “I have very wild dreams” it says. And you load up the table and realise that it’s not a dream, but now a reality. Arsenal have 72 points from 29 games and regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, you have learnt to dream again.
Thank you, Mikel❤️
