Following the resignation of American general manager Brian McBride, U.S. Soccer Federation sporting director Earnie Stewart is going to join PSV Eindhoven, causing men's coach Gregg Berhalter worry.
US News reported that Stewart hired Berhalter and McBride, and the coach's contract was set to expire on December 31. The USSF revealed Berhalter was being looked into for domestic violence in 1991 three days later. The interim coach was then named Anthony Hudson.
The USSF hired the Sportsology Group to find Stewart's replacement, who will then be in charge of the coach search.
Stewart will remain with the organisation through February 15th. For an unknown amount of time, Hudson will serve as interim coach as Sportsology evaluates potential replacements.
Let’s see what happens next!
