The new Twitter CEO, Elon Musk statments are quite a contradiction. He is now advocating 'free speech,' hours after banning parody accounts using name of his own.

Musk on a series of Tweets announced, Twitter accounts that impersonates another user without specifying it as a "parody" account will be permanently suspended without a warning.

He further tweeted,"Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up for Twitter Blue" he said laying out the specifics of applying for a verified badge, adding that any change in name will cause "temporary loss of the verified checkmark".

Musk also spoke about how his changes will impact overall journalism.

According to Musk, Twitter needs to become the most accurate source of information about the world and that is "his mission"
