My parents have always given me enough freedom in every aspect of my life. From picking up a summer vacation hobby for myself to deciding what I would like to pursue further. Even small decisions at our household were taken only after discussing it with me and my brother. They did build me a staircase but it was on me to decided how I want to climb over it.
