Borussia Dortmund teammates Emre Can and Jude Bellingham had a heated on-field discussion in their defeat to Bayern Munich last week. Emre Can has responded after the match saying that the Englishmen has “to learn a lot” how to deal with situations in the future.
Both the players were seen exchanging words during the matchup against Bayern Munich which the Yellow Army unfortunately lost by 4-2 which could be a big setback to their title hopes this season. Dortmund were leading the table going into the match by a point but have found themselves trailing by 2 points after the defeat. It was a night that the Dortmund players would like to forget as soon as possible as nothing went in favour of them that night at the Allianz Arena.
Can was disappointed with Bellingham’s behaviour during the match as he let his emotions get the better of himself. He said, “Jude is still young and he has to learn a lot. Here on the pitch in front of 70,000 to 80,000, there are few things that you can do, you have to be there and have a good body language when a team-mate makes a mistake or doesn't see you. That's what we have to learn as a team as well.”
Can added, “It was like we had a plan then we were 2-0 down and then we didn't stick to our plan, we were pressing with one man and that is not good enough but still, the season is not over. There's a lot of points to play for, we will see what happens at the end of the season.”
Bellingham has been a fan favourite at the club since joining them from Birmingham City way back in 2021 and has also become a leader on the pitch at times this season even at this young age. With several European heavyweight clubs looking to sign him in the upcoming summer, it is rumoured heavily that his time at Dortmund is coming to an end.
