Look, I'm not going to say that there is definitively widespread election fraud. But the stories that keep coming out about people falsifying their vote successfully and more are really lending a lot of credibility to the argument that, at the very least, our elections are not as secure as we might think.
Election officials in Oregon recently revealed that at least 306 non-citizens since 2019 were wrongfully registered to vote. Now, to be clear, according to these officials, only two of the 306 people actually did vote. However, they did also say that they expect to find more as they comb through the system.
The issue, they said, was that since Oregon began providing non-citizens with driver's licenses in 2019, the system also automatically registered those people.
But Oregon isn't the only state that allows non-citizens to get a driver's license in 19 U.S. states and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Non-citizens can obtain a driver's license.
Following this news, I think each and every one of these states should take a good hard look at who has been registered to vote. Because if there's even a chance that there are tens of thousands of unlawfully registered voters, then we must make every effort to make sure they don't vote in our elections.
