Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of BHU has entered its 75th year. On this occasion, a three-day Kaustubh Jayanti celebration was inaugurated in the faculty. There was a confluence of singing, playing and dancing. Lord Shiva was worshipped with the dance presentation of Shri Vishwanathashtakam and Shiva Panchakshar Stotram. At the same time, 75 distinguished people were honored with Kaustubh Ratna.

Chief guest Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain and special guest President of Sangeet Natak Academy Dr. Sandhya Purecha inaugurated the function. 75 distinguished people including Pt. Chittaranjan Jyotishi, Pt. Sajan Mishra, Dr. Rajeshwar Acharya, Pt. Shivnath Mishra, Dr. Premchand Hombal, Pt. Ritwik Sanyal were given Kaustubh Ratna Samman.
