Chairman of Goa Rehabilitation Board and Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai on Tuesday distributed packages consisting of various essentials to be used for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi. These packages, each costing nearly Rs 5000, were handed over to financially weak families.
Faldessai in collaboration with Deccan Fine Chemicals distributed the nutritious kits for nearly 700 needy households in the villages of Cumbarjua under its CSR initiative on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Those present were Deccan Fine Chemicals Head for HR, admin and CSR, Yogesh Arora Deccan Fine Chemicals Manager CSR Gaurav Kudchadkar, Executive VP & Site Head Kiran Dessai, Sarpanch V.P Cumbarjua Sachin Gaude, Panch Members Nandakumar Shet, Surendra Naik, Vrinda Joshi, and Sudhir Phadte.
"I thank Deccan Fine Chemicals. Every year, they have been providing these packages of essentials to the economically backward families at the time of Ganesh Chaturthi. We held this programme for all panchayats of Cumbarjua constituency. Each package costs nearly Rs 5000 which can be utilised to celebrate even five-day Chaturthi. Nearly 700 people have taken benefit of this initiative," he said.
