Charles had a bit of an incident in sector 3 which cost him his rear wing. Otherwise, The pair looked fast.

In FP2, both the McLarens (who are fighting Ferrari for 3rd in constructors) performed mediocre. Daniel Ricciardo suffered a gear box problem which took him out of the session within half an hour of it starting. Lando Norris seems to be going through some crisis of confidence and is not performing to the level he has set for himself.

The Scuderia Ferrari are strong now. Their new power unit has made them faster and they look like they will win the battle for 3rd place this year against McLaren in the constructors championship.
