Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, a Ghanaian professional football player for Accra Hearts of Oak of the Ghanaian Premier League, was born on June 26, 2001. He plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. Afriyie is an Akan by birth and descent; she was born in Ghana's Ashanti Region. He attended Mankranso in the Ashanti Region, Dunyan Nkwanta JHS in the Ahafo Ano South area, and then continued his secondary schooling at Aduman Senior High School in Aduman. In addition to admiring Sergio Agüero, he idolizes Brazilian striker Ronaldo.
Current Form
Williams has struggled with his form while representing his side Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League this year, scoring just once in four games. The League table presently has Hearts of Oak in fifth place.
World Cup Career
A week later, ahead of Ghana's 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup Group G qualifications against Ethiopia and South Africa, Afriyie received his first call-up to the Black Stars, managed by C.K. Akunnor. He was one of the five domestic players who were selected for the team to represent in the Qatar world cup.
Club Career
In the Ashanti Region, Afriyie played for several colts (juvenile) clubs, where he became a cult icon. Prior to joining Celtic Academy in Kumasi, he started at Amansie FC. In 2015, he then transferred to Valencia Colts. He advanced in his career by joining Galaxy United in the Ghana Division Two League, where he played from 2016 to 2017. Afriyie joined Rahimo FC, a top-flight team in Burkina Faso, in January 2018. He helped the team win the Burkinabé Premier League in the 2018–19 season and earn qualification for the 2019–20 CAF Champions League.
