Ecuador needed at least a draw against Senegal to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the next round. Unfortunately, they couldn't make the deal as they suffered a 1-2 defeat. GK: Hernan Galindez (5) - An average performance from the goalkeeper. Couldn't do much to restrict the goals.

RB: Angelo Preciado (4) - A poor performance from the defender. Didn't do enough to help his side.

CB: Felix Torres (6) - Was fine on the field and also got a crucial assist in the game.

CB: Piero Hincapie (3) - He produced a poor foul to give away the penalty and let his team down.

LB: Pervis Estupinan (5) - There were high expectations from him after being impressive in the previous games. But it wasn't his day.

CM: Carlos Gruezo (4) - Didn't offer much on the field and hence, was taken off at the interval.

CM: Alan Franco (4) - Same case for him, wasn't able to contribute enough to the team.

CM: Moises Caicedo (8) - The only midfielder of Ecuador that gave a fight. He also scored an important equiliser.

RW: Gonzalo Plata (4) - Wasn't up to the mark throughout the game.

CF: Michael Estrada (4) - Started the game on a high note but vanished as the game progressed.

LW: Enner Valencia (4) - Same as Estrada. Started the game on a promising note but failed to continue the pace.
