Ederson is a goalkeeper who plays for the Brazilian national team and represents Premier League club Manchester City. The shot-stopper started his career at the highest level at Ribeirão Futebol Clube before joining Rio Ave.

After three seasons, he moved to SL Benfica before eventually signing for the current English champions.He became the most expensive goalkeeper of all time (now fourth).

The 29-year-old is known for his physicality, ball distribution and intelligent positioning. With him in the side, the attack can be built from the back. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world at present.

Ederson has been in fine form so far this season. He has conceded 18 goals in 19 games, keeping 9 clean sheets across all competitions. In addition to this, he has also got an assist to his name.

World Cup record:

Ederson was part of Brazil's 2018 World Cup but unfortunately didn’t get a single game under his belt. He made his first appearance in a major tournament for the national side in June 2021. In Copa America, he conceded only one goal in four appearances.
