After making his debut for Bayer Leverkusen as the second youngest player in their history, Havertz became one of the best players in the Bundesliga after a sensational breakout season at Bayern Leverkusen, where he scored 17 goals and recorded three assists and followed that season with 12 goals and six assists.
He was converted to a striker in the final season at the club and has played that position ever since. His brilliant display in the 2019-20 season earned an €80 million move to Chelsea. At Chelsea, he has failed to replicate the form he showed in the Bundesliga.
He struggled after being played out of position in his first season at Chelsea and scored the winning goal in Chelsea’s Champions League success in 2021. He’s had a few ups and downs since his arrival at the club and is yet to live up to expectations
Havertz is an exceptional attacker with brilliant vision and movement between the lines. He creates space for his fellow attackers and has a goal vision in his sight and a dominant figure in the air.
Season Form
Havertz has not been his best for Chelsea this season, with only three goals scored in 13 appearances. He’s been in and around the squad with a host rotation and change in manager affecting his playing time. He’s been limited to only 11 starts this season and has averaged 68 minutes per game.
World Cup Record
Qatar 2022 will be Havertz's first world cup and his second competition for Germany. He was previously at the European Championships and scored in their only victory at the tournament. He will be vying for a starting spot in the German attack but will be in close competition with Youssouafa Moukoko and Niclas Fullkrug.
Overall stat
Havertz has been around for a while and made many appearances throughout his career. He’s played 327 games and scored 101 goals.
