Nicolas Otamendi is an Argentine professional footballer born on 12th February 1988. He plays as a centre-back for Argentina national team and the Primeira Liga team Benfica.
The defender debuted in 2009 and since then he has represented his country in two World cups and four Copa America tournaments.

Otamendi was included in the 2018 World Cup squad. In June 2021 he was alongside Lionel Messi's squad for the Copa America which ultimately was won by Argentina.
