Thomas Meunier, born on 12th September, is a Belgian professional footballer who features as a right-back for Borussia Dortmund, a Bundesliga club and also in the Belgium National team. 

Thomas was a former PSG defender who was bought by Borussia Dortmund in 2020. 

Current form:- Thomas Meunier hasn't played enough this season as he made just 8 appearances in the Bundesliga. He also faced two yellow cards. In the Champions League, he made an appearance in 4 matches and also made an assist. In the DFB Pokal, he made 2 appearances.

World Cup record:- Meunier appeared for the Belgium U15 team and then in the U21 side. First, he was called in February but he didn't join the next time in August he finally made his debut for the Belgium U21 team in a 3-2 friendly loss against Turkey U21. 

He was called for the senior team for the first time on 14th November 2013 in a friendly match against Colombia which was prepared for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Though he played a couple of more preparatory matches, he wasn't included in the 23 man squad of Belgium. 

In 2016 Meunier impressed everyone with his performance and got himself included in the 23-man squad for FIFA world cup 2018 Russia. He played his first match against Tunisia as a midfielder. He had a great season in the world cup. After missing the semis due to a red card came back in the third-place match against England and got the opening goal to make his nation's best-ever World Cup finish. 

Overall Stats:- He started off his career with RE Virton. He made 52 appearances and scored 16 goals. Next, he remained with club Brugge for the next five seasons and made 198 appearances scoring 19 goals. He was then bought by PSG and made 128 appearances with 13 goals. Presently he is playing Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and has featured in 73 games scoring 3 times.

For Belgium, he debuted in 2013 and has made 58 appearances. He has 8 international goals and one world cup goal for Belgium.
