Tony Alderweireld, known as Toby Albertine Maurits Alderweireld is a Belgian professional who plays for Belgium's First Division A club Royal Antwerp FC. The Belgian mainly plays as a centre-back or a right-back for club and country and is widely known for his brilliance on the football pitch.

Alderweireld kickstarted his senior career with Eredivisie club, Ajax in 2008. He scored 15 goals in 186 appearances for the club during his 5-year stay there. The 2013/14 season at Atletico Madrid saw him score 2 goals in 22 matches for the club before being loaned out to Southampton the next season wherein he 1 goal in 28 matches. 

He thereon made a move to Tottenham the next season and spent a long period of 6 years during which he scored 9 goals in 236 appearances for the club. He thereon joined al Duhail from the Qatar Star League and scored 1 goal in 29 games for them that season.
