Born on December 13, 1987, Weverton. plays for the Brazil national football team. He is a goalkeeper and has plenty of games under his belt. He started his journey with Corinthians.

The shot-stopper then went on to represent Remo, Oeste, America-RN, Botafogo-SP, Portuguesa de Desportos, Athletico and is currently associated with Serie A toppers Palmeiras.

Weverton was called on by the national team to replace the injured Fernando Prass during the 2016 Summer Olympics. By making a key save in the gold medal match against Germany, he helped his side win their first ever football gold at the Olympics.
