Moukoko has been popular in German football for some years now. First, scoring many goals in the under 15s as a 13-year-old and second, scoring for the under 19s as a 15-year-old. He became the youngest player to debut and score in the Bundesliga last season and, at 17, is headed to his first World Cup in a relatively inexperienced German side.
He’s the future of German football and one of the most exciting prospects at the World Cup. Moukoko has been one of Dortmund’s best players in attack this season. The disappointing displays of Donyell Malen, Anthony Modeste and Karim Adeyemi have seen him take responsibility r in the Dortmund attack.
Moukoko has scored six times this season and assisted thrice. Despite missing seven big chances this season, he is still young and can improve his finishing. He’s the highest-scoring German at Dortmund this season. His season form led to fans glamouring for his inclusion in the World Cup team.
World Cup Record
Mokoko has made some appearances for the German youth team but is yet to debut for the senior team. At 17, he is the youngest player in the German squad and one of few players yet to debut. Whether he starts or not remains to be seen. He will compete with Havertz and Fullkrug but can do enough to beat the competition.
