After the detection of two monkeypox cases in the country, the Union Ministry of Health has issued instructions for strict health screening of international travellers arriving in India at airports and sea ports.
A special meeting was held with the Airport and Port Health Officers. . All the officials were advised to ensure strict health screening of all arriving international travellers which can minimize the risk of importation of monkeypox cases into the country.
