France march on, Portugal go home

France will play Spain in the semifinals of the Euros, after beating Portugal on penalties.

It wasn't the greatest game, with France holding on solidly with a compact defence, that has been their main strength this tournament.

Portugal never quite clicked, most of their threat coming through Rafael Leao on the left.

The match rolled into the shootout and everyone converted other than Joao Felix's effort which hit the post.

France are yet to score from open play in this tournament but on the flip side, they are yet to concede fron open play as well.
