Tis was the summer of 99 on the birthday eve of the legendary Sir Matt Busby when a Scandinavian baby faced assassin came in clutch in the dying moments of a UCL final to complete the treble set and make Manchester United the first English club to manage the feat of winning a treble.
24 years on, the noisy neighbours under the management of Josep Guardiola and led by a Scandinavian freak reached the promised land to become the second English club to complete the treble. it was absolute disheartening to watch as a MUFC fan who has now seen it all from Liverpool winning the PL to Manchester City winning the UCL and winning a treble after a decade of dominance. make no mistake and taking nothing away from Pep, who has shown time and again what sort of genius he is who just never wants to stop winning and he has instilled that mentality in everyone at City, from Sathe board members to the staff and the players.
City are in terms with reality for why they brought the bald mastermind in the first place and unfortunately (for me) they might be here to stay
