Gabriel Martinelli - Brazilian Star set to extend with Arsenal

As per Sami Mokbel, of the Daily Mail, Gabriel Martinelli is set to extend his contract to 2027, with a reported 200k a week.

The 21 year old has been nothing short of a revelation this season, and his improvement is testament to his incredible mentality, work ethic, and abilities - and of course Mikel Arteta’s’ ability to develop young forwards.

Catalonian Sport initially reported Martinelli would be extending till 2027 with the Gunners, as one of the teams after the forward was the Catalan giants, Barcelona - the club he had trials at before switching to London.

The Daily Mail report the contract being worth £200k, which ultimately is what you’re paying for some of the World’s best; and most sought after talents. However, it’s likely to be more £150k, with bonuses rising to £200k.

Martinelli expressed his love for the Gunners in an interview earlier this year, where he asked for a ‘pen’ to sign. Looks like someone gave him that pen!

A squad full of quality, but 3 shining stars, who continue to develop admirably - Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Gabriel Martinelli.

If true, 1/3 of those acquired, goes along way for the clubs short and long term future, and states the intentions & ambitions of Arsenal.

Martinelli has scored 5 & assisted 2 this season, and his improvement with ball retention, unpredictability, intelligence & rotations among more has become increasingly evident.

A well deserved contract for the Guarulhos born man, and a fantastic move for the Gunners, presuming it materialises as expected.
