Accrued a 2kg increase on the weekend due to indulging in food?
You certainly didn't! It can be frustrating to put in hard work all week, enjoy some socializing and relaxation over the weekend, only to see the scale show a 5 lb weight gain on Monday. The foods we typically eat when dining out tend to be higher in calories, rich in fat, salt & and generally more carb-heavy since portions are larger. The weight gain reflected on the scale on Monday is often attributed to increased glycogen storage, water retention, and possibly residual stool in your digestive system.
No need to panic and resort to skipping meals excessive exercise or extreme detox. Stay hydrated and maintain your regular routine!
