The duo is not only important for Spain; it is crucial for Spain. Gavi is the youngest player in Spain's history, having made his debut against Italy at the San Siro last year at the age of 17 years and 62 days. Meanwhile, Pedri is the seventh-youngest player, having made his debut against Greece in March 2021 at the age of 18. He was then called up to Spain's squad for the UEFA Euro Championship, where he was named the best young player as La Roja advanced to the semi-finals before losing on penalties to eventual winners Italy.Gavi also scored and assisted in the World Cup 2022 group stage match against Costa Rica, becoming the youngest player to do so since Pele. 

Pedri joined Barcelona from Las Palmas in the second division, where he was given a chance by Ronald Koeman, Barca's coach at the time, and impressed a lot, forming a formidable connection with Lionel Messi on the field. Gavi is a graduate of Barca’s famous academy, La Masia, where he was deemed one of the finest players there.
