Germany GK Manuel Neuer Is Expected to Continue With the National Team Until 2026 World Cup!

Manuel Neuer is likely to remain Germany's goalkeeper despite speculation about his future following Germany's loss to Spain in the EURO 2024 quarter-finals as per Kicker. Unlike his club and national teammate Thomas Mulles, the 38-year-old is considering continuing and aims to play in the 2026 World Cup.

Neuer is also expected to stay with Bayern Munich for another season, with his contract running until 2025. This decision impacts Alexander Nubel, who extended his loan at VfB Stuttgart after signing a new contract earlier this year. Though Neuer is still top notch, this decision to continue with the national team will really hamper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's future.

The Barcelona goalkeeper turned 32 in April. However Ter Stegen has played second fiddle to Neuer and has made only 32 appearances so far for his country and is yet to play any games for the German national team in either the Euros or the World Cup.
