"Good Partner" Reaches New Heights in Ratings Amidst Strong Competition from New Romance Dramas
The weekend drama ratings are intensifying!
On August 17, SBS's “Good Partner” experienced a significant boost in viewership, reaching its highest ratings to date. As reported by Nielsen Korea, the popular drama secured first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 17.7 percent, setting a new record for the series.
“Good Partner” also saw its highest ratings yet among the key 20 to 49-year-old demographic, scoring an average rating of 6.1 percent—making it the most-watched program of any kind aired this entire week.
In the meantime, two eagerly-awaited romance dramas made their debut last night. TV Chosun’s “DNA Lover” premiered with an average nationwide rating of 1.1 percent, while tvN’s “Love Next Door” claimed first place in its time slot across all cable channels with a nationwide average of 4.9 percent.
MBC’s new mystery drama “Black Out,” which shares the same time slot as “Good Partner,” garnered an average nationwide rating of 2.7 percent for its second episode.
JTBC’s “Romance in the House” saw a dip to an average nationwide rating of 3.9 percent for its third episode, and MBN’s “Bad Memory Eraser” achieved a nationwide average of 0.7 percent for its fifth episode.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” enjoyed a notable rise in viewership, emerging as the most-watched show on Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 18.1 percent.
